Portable Coffee Machine Retail Boxes: Calculate Shelf Space for 4 Models
Use published retail-box dimensions to estimate a four-model shelf layout, with orientation, clearance and physical-sample checks stated separately.

Short answer
Portable Coffee Machine Retail Boxes
With the first published retail-box dimension facing the shopper, 4 boxes each of DQ-001, DQ-005, DQ-010 and DQ-011 require 1368 mm of nominal frontage: 4 × (80 + 82 + 90 + 90). This excludes gaps, fixtures and clearance and must be checked against real samples.
Start with the retail box
The records below use L × W × H. They describe standard individual packaging, not a customized gift box. If the actual front face uses W rather than L, the frontage calculation changes.
| Model | Retail box L × W × H | 4 × L frontage |
|---|---|---|
| DQ-001 | 80 × 80.5 × 295 mm | 320 mm |
| DQ-005 | 82 × 80.5 × 319 mm | 328 mm |
| DQ-010 | 90 × 90 × 335 mm | 360 mm |
| DQ-011 | 90 × 90 × 280 mm | 360 mm |
Calculate frontage before adding clearance
In this example, each model has 4 facings and the L dimension runs across the shelf. The arithmetic is 320 + 328 + 360 + 360 = 1368 mm, or 1.368 m. Four facings means four front positions; it does not specify how many boxes sit behind them.
The tallest listed retail box is DQ-010 at 335 mm. A shelf opening of exactly 335 mm would leave no handling clearance. Confirm the usable fixture height, shelf lip and the space needed to remove a box instead of treating the box height as the finished fixture specification.
Check the direction of the front panel
A dimension drawing and an artwork proof need to agree. A near-square box can still have different L and W values: DQ-001 is 80 by 80.5 mm, and DQ-005 is 82 by 80.5 mm. If the artwork faces along the other side, use that width in the layout.
Request a photograph of the boxed sample next to a ruler, with the intended front panel visible. Mark which dimension is width in the retailer's planogram. This avoids silently rotating the pack between the packaging supplier and the store team.
Treat custom packaging as a new measurement
A sleeve, protective insert, accessory bundle or gift presentation can change the individual pack dimensions. Recalculate frontage and master-carton loading from the approved new package rather than retaining the standard record.
TK Classic's standard box data is a starting point for discussion. Ask the retailer to approve the physical mock-up before committing to display fixtures, printed shelf strips or a store count. Shelf fit does not establish demand or retail acceptance.
- Measure the sample after final inserts are fitted.
- Record dimensions in millimetres throughout the layout.
- Keep fixture clearance as a separate buyer-defined value.
Questions buyers ask before approval
Does 1368 mm include space between boxes?
No. It is the sum of 16 nominal box frontages in the stated orientation. Add buyer-defined gaps, fixture space and handling clearance.
Can a custom gift box use these same dimensions?
Only if the approved custom pack actually matches them. Re-measure after changes to the box, sleeve, insert or accessory bundle.
Which model has the tallest listed retail box?
Among these four standard records, DQ-010 is tallest at 335 mm. This does not include shelf handling clearance.
